Burke Construction Group constructed the new 15,550-square-foot Plantation Fire Station 1 to replace the city’s original station, which first opened in 1960. To maintain uninterrupted fire rescue operations during construction, a temporary facility was built adjacent to the site. The project included the demolition of the existing station and the ground-up construction of the new facility. The completed station features four apparatus bays, dormitories, offices, a fitness room, and a kitchen/lounge area, providing modern, functional spaces to meet the community’s growing needs.
