Description: Plantation Fire Station 1 first opened its doors in 1960 serving the local community with only two small fire trucks. The new 15,550 SF station was built to replace the City’s old station. The work included the demolition of the previous station and the construction of the new station. With four (4) bays, dormitories, offices, a gym, a kitchen/lounge area, and storage space.
A temporary facility was built adjacent to the construction to not disrupt the ongoing daily operations.
